shearing system increases the efficient use of coil stock by slitting
the master coil into as many as nine interlocking strips closely
contoured to the shape of the part. The strips are then rewound
and fed into a re-punch press to make the finished parts. The process,
pioneered by Perfecto, is ideal for high volume production.
Patented Perfecto equipment rewinds
the strips at higher speeds and with tighter coils than ever before
possible, while compensating for variations in material thickness.
The result is you can get nine 5 1/2" diameter blanks from
a 43" wide coil - with straight slitting you would need a 50"
coil. This process can bring substantial material savings to a
variety of applications, including almost any round, oval or odd
shaped pieces produced in high volume.
